Asma is a passionate lecturer at Maldives National University who strives to engage students in active learning. Asma encourages her students to develop essential skills such as logic, resourcefulness, imagination and innovation, which can positively influence their academic and professional life. In her current role, Asma coordinates the Bachelor of Computer Science Program, manages The Maldives National University's Cisco Networking Academy, and delivers lectures, tutorials and lab sessions. Asma also serves as a mentor for the girls in ICT club of the faculty, where she empowers women in the field of Information Technology and Computer Science through knowledge sharing sessions and engaging activities. Asma's ultimate goal is to use her knowledge and experience to pave the way for bright careers for her students, and she advises all students to participate in extra-curricular activities, capitalize on opportunities, and maintain a humble attitude towards learning.
