Ms. Fathimath Nasiha Abdul Muhaimin is an experienced educator and Head of the Centre for Foundation Studies at The Maldives National University (MNU). Previously, she served as the lead Instructional Designer at the Centre for Educational Technology and Excellence until September 2020. Nasiha holds a Master of Education degree from La Trobe University, Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, Film and Art, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from MNU, Maldives. Her research interests include distance education and technology-enabled learning. She was the project manager for the AMED, an Erasmus+ project focused on advancing higher education in Maldives through e-learning. Currently, Ms. Nasiha is pursuing her PhD at the Universiti Sains Malaysia, where she is exploring self-paced online professional development for online teaching. Since joining MNU in 2011, Ms. Nasiha has been an integral part of the e-learning support team, actively involved in e-learning design and facilitation.
