Fathimath Shamah is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for improving health information flow and data collection modalities in the Maldives. With experience spanning over seven years, Shamah has been instrumental in the national rollout of the Maldives Electronic Immunization Registry, which is an open-source platform used to track child immunization records. Currently, Shamah is focused on the establishment of a National Health Information System that integrates digital solutions and promotes interoperability between different health information systems. Her aim is to ensure that stakeholders have timely access to evidence-based decision-making information while minimizing the burden on data entry users. Shamah holds a Master's Degree in Medical Bioinformatics from Mahidol University, Thailand, and is an Australia Awards Scholar who completed her Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from Monash University. With her expertise and vision, she is making significant contributions to the healthcare sector in the Maldives.
