Mariyam Yasmeen is a UI/UX Designer at the Ministry of Economic Development with a passion for helping people. After finishing school in the Maldives, Mariyam struggled to find courses in her desired field. However, after working various jobs for a decade, including data entry and running a dive center, Mariyam discovered her love for technology and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of the West of England. Yasmeen's past work experience has given her valuable skills, such as understanding customers' perspectives and struggles, which she now utilizes to create systems that prioritize user happiness. As digital experiences become increasingly important in our world, Mariyam is fulfilling her career goal of helping people. Yasmeen hopes to inspire others to break past their own barriers and pursue their dreams, even if it means taking unconventional routes. She believes that the rewards of achieving one's goals far outweigh the initial hurdles.
