Zalkha is an Information Systems Officer in the IT department at State Trading Organization PLC in Maldives. Zalkha began her career at STO as an intern under the IT organizational unit, Network and Data Center, in November of 2021, after completing her A-levels. She then worked as an IT Service Desk Officer before being promoted to her current position, where she is involved in SAP Master Data related works and supports the implementation of an in-house workflow automation tool called Dhoadhi Flow. Working at STO IT has been transformative for Zalkha, as she has found great mentors and colleagues who have helped her grow both professionally and personally. As a woman working in a male-dominated field, she is proud to be part of a team that values diversity and inclusivity. Zalkha is also a member of WomenInTechMaldives, an NGO that aims to break down stereotypes and overcome gender inequality towards women in technology. She encourages other girls and anyone interested in this field to pursue their dreams and be part of the change.
